Plants of special concern in Pennsylvania need to be evaluated on a regular basis. Field surveys to known sites and historic sites helps the state with determining the current status of these taxa. Objective 1: Assess specific populations of rare species based on historical data. Objective 2: Track life-history events of plants of special concern. Objective 3: Try to locate populations of taxa recently found in the state for the first time or having literature references to being in the state with no known populations or herbarium specimens.
