Wise management of PA's natural resources depends on accurate and up-to-date information on the distribution and status of the state's biodiversity, especially those species considered to be of special conservation concern. This research was conducted to 1.)record specimen label data from historical collections of new species added to the list 2.)continue a program to confirm taxonomic ID of POSCIP specimens 3)conduct field surveys for POSCIP species and to document new sites and 4.)provide herbarium services to Heritage Program botanists, WPC staff and other botanists in the region.
