Report Summary:

A manuscript for a manual of aquatic plants of Pennsylvania was prepared and tested with a group DEP and EPA field surveyors. The fully illustrated manual contains identification keys and descriptions for 186 species of emergent, floating and subemergent aquatic plants. It also includes introductory material discussing growth and form of aquatic plants, the role of plants in aquatic ecosystems, and issues in the management of aquatic ecosystems.
