Presque Isle Community Restoration Project
Three stewardship projects were conducted by museum staff, Mercyhurst College and nine volunteers during the 1995 field season. One ongoing project, the Smiths bulrush restoration, was put on hold in 1995 so that it would not interfere with testing the biological control of purple loosestrife at the study site. A new project, removal of phragmites from a wet sand plain was initiated. Two ongoing projects were continued; the Bicknells geranium restoration and dry sand plain succession management study.
