Field and Herbarium Surveys for Environmental Review
Work under this contract included herbarium and field studies of questionable plant taxa to collect the information necessary to refine the Plants of Special Concern list. Recommendations are included regarding Rhododendron canescens, Gnaphalium sylvaticum, Helianthus occidentalis, Pycnanthemum pycnanthemoides, Eupatorium hyssopifolium, Linaria canadensis, and Strophostyles umbellata. Field studies also included new reports or updates of 48 plant occurrences. Three on-site consultations were carried out. Progress on the field manual of the plants of Pennsylvania is describe in an attached report.
