Assessing the Genetic Diversity and Distinctness of Eastern North American Golden Eagles
The ultimate goal of this study is to determine the level of genetic distinction between populations of contemporary and historic populations of golden eagles in the western US and the eastern US. Golden eagles in general are rather poorly understood, and learning what we can about them could significantly improve understanding of their conservation status and subsequent management-particularly the eastern US population.
