We conducted ichthyofaunal surveys of selected Youghiogheny River tributaries along a 100km river reach extending from Confluence to McKeesport, PA during May-July, 2009 and May, 2010. All stations were georeferenced, physical dimensions recorded, and selected chemical parameters analyzed. Fish were collected using two-pass backpack electrofishing over a sampling reach extending from each tributary mouth to an endpoint 200m upstream or to the nearest upstream blockage. Collected fish were identified and enumerated and a reference collection was established for each sampling station.
